*attempts to beat definitions into head* So essentialy it goes human -> zoomorph -> furry -> anthro -> animal ? Kinda. It's more like Human > Zoomorph and that's one equation on its own, as that's a human becoming more animal-like, or zoomorphic. With anthropomorphism, it's non-human becoming more human-like. Animal > Furry > Anthro. "Anthros" are generally more "serious" than a "furry", like werewolves and other monsters. When you're referring to one that has animal basis, anyways! A talking lamp or a cloud with a human face would be anthropomorphic too.

Flames: Oh, ah. Thank you for that explanation. Perhaps it is my dabbling in livejournal that gives me that confusion. I am sure everyone knows how sexually themed the communities on that website is, so whenever I find myself flopping over a Furrie community I see, well, pretty perverse things. That's no surprise. I see the same sort of thing myself on many sites. The word "furry" has gotten some pretty negative connotations attached thanks to stupid and perverse fans. LJ can be pretty scary in that sense, too. I only go there to lurk around the Anti-Yaoi community. That's no problem - I don't actually call my pieces "furry" give both the negative and "cute" definitions that come to the minds of most people. *Gasp* Anti!-Yaoi. Ohnoes. Well, I guess it does exploit homosexuals...and vomits out some disgusting fangirls. But...yaoi... D:. Suuu.hot. Maybe I am one of those disgusting fangirls. XD

Ah, I'm reading. I haven't read all the articles, but enough for me to see where this is going. I am still interested so I'll read them all, anyway.
I agree with you, on some levels. A few of my friends are fiends for Yaoi. Always dabbling fanfics, or drawing hentai, or have their heads in these mangas. I laugh and poke fun at them. I personally like Yaoi myself but I don't take it seriously. XD
It is good erotica, great way to influence my mood. But, it isn't something I'll bring to school. That always creeps me out. When people do sexual things in a public environment. D:
Anyway, some Yaoi fans are Wapanese tools. And, hate them, away. Anyone who takes these characters or plot lines seriously are a little more then retarded. But, for those whom think of it as just sexy boys. Just something to bring motivation for some fappage. Well.. people like ME! XD. Don't hate. Appreciate!
Anyway, this is more of how I really felt a year ago. Recently my sexuality is more then a little f**ked up* and I prefer to fantasize about women, anyway. Yuri? :D
*for a bunch of reasons.
