I know I haven't posted here in ages and I'm sorry for it. I neglected old ties and I regret it. I miss you all so. Damned. Much. Today I went poking around attempting to find remnants of the past because of how special The Cabbit Patch was to me and found that Kibby has sold Cabbit.net - well, I'm not surprised. The git has been letting the site rot slowly into history for the past few years. We had three years of "New Board Being Worked On" before it finally got mangled. What a shit he gave, eh? I suppose it wasn't just another forum site to me. No, I made some close friends there. Anyways, a few of the working files in the Internet Archives nearly broke my heart. I remember so much of back then and despite having grown up with so much change in my life, I really miss it. When I was young and miserable, it saved my life. I remember everyone. Ka, Neko-Chan, Nash, Otter, Doug, Vyce, Mouse, Mellissandria, GK, Sunset, Haru, Unis, Nari (claaaam girl), Zeke, all my ol' pals. web.archive.org/web/20021129095807/http://www.cabbit.net/Hey, check out the "Ten Latest Topics" list! I was a busy bee that night, eh? That was more than five years ago. My heart honestly hurts, I sort of want to cry. I have no idea what's wrong with me, I keep reaching out at the screen like I hope I can just pluck out the past and get it all back. Oh, man. I see SilverStar in the 2002 archives, I missed her so bad. I remember so many of these topics and people! Hahaha, Dark_Lord. That godmodding moron - I remember when we got into a huge row that went into nearly every forum area.

Awww!!! Now I'm sad. I know exactly what that feeling is like...
Hmm. It redirects to animenation now? ... it's just been a 'page cannot be displayed' for so long. There was always a tiny bit of hope with that... it's funny, I actually had a dream that it came back online. I was in such a panic when I found it because I had missed out on some time with everyone for not being the first to re-join.
Again I'm tempted to track down Kibby. I'm pretty sure he lives around here, or at least used to. I wonder what he'd think if I stole the code off the old site and made a new one...it's tempting to give it a try... I want a hacker to get to the links that don't work.
Oh. And Mouse/Haru were both me... unless you're thinking of someone else. XD I know I've been mixed up with at least one other person a lot. I guess we we're together a lot.
It's a difficult situation. We've all changed, and even if we all got together it wouldn't be quite the same. I think we all have such a high standard and expectations that could never live up to the spledor in our memories. No matter what, I'll come back and try again.

I can empathise with every single point you made in both of your posts. The 'Patch used to take up so much of my time. Now my link to it is the occasional visit to this forum and rambling trips of nostalgia in my Livejournal, but I still think about it a lot and would give a vast amount to have it all back exactly as it was. I comfort myself by reaching the forced conclusion that I'm viewing it all through handily rose-tinted glasses.
I do love the Web Archives, the 'Patch was the first site I looked up there. I saved a few of the images because pages get taken down seemingly at random there. It always feels slightly creepy when I see ones where I was online, a similar sensation to feeling as if someone's walked over your grave.
Anyway, I felt special for being included in the list of people you remembered, hurrah! As if my ego needs further boosting.

* rambles *
=^-^= It realy is amazing how day to day life can throw your mind back to the glorious moments of the Cabbit patch. I have been away up north for several days to a place of very many rotting sofa's , that being Hull , Anlaby and Hessle . Some places by the humber river that suffred from severe flooding earlier this year.
Also while vacating Great aunt Audrey's flat I found some RAF WWII medals that belonged to Sydney Brindley , one of these medals has a ribbon this is uncannily cabbit , one end cut triangular with piniking shears.
The green is muchly cabbit green ,the orange is muchly cabbit orange and a black line that makes this 5 inch piece of ribbon reminiscent of the cabbit community colours.
As for the cabbit patch I too had noticed that the cabbit.net page goes strit to Animenation was it . Over the years I have randomly looked up our page just in case a miracle should happen , but quote NK I think our hope as dried up.
I also noticed that with some minor alteration the Christian empty fish symbol can be made to look like a carrot =^-^= he he . Another area that could result in a Patchers style debate , a logo that I did fabricate a small sketch of of which is lost under piles of paper in my bedroom.
My guess is Sunset would'nt turn down a deep Purple scarf with a hollow carrot on either end. The hollowness of the carrot seems to symbolise what has been taken from our communtity , but the modified christian fish converted into a carrot may symbolize our uniqueness and also loyalty an willingness to carry on the cabbit community of which continues to change and develop in new ways as the origional members age and look at CP in our own way.
Yet another cause for a CP Patchers debate.
Various names come to mind when I think Cabbit Patch.
IceMoon , how I miss her. little Inu , Maldred , Buliarous , Feline of Twilight , Yoshin , GK , Ryojihimura , Ketira and her huge frying pan , Meckity , Sunset , James , B*Real , Jenna , Zeke , Kiharu , RA , Maruno , FelepusLSH , Pcolafladwd , Stygen , Dark Style my end of CP friend and Camryn , ooh and Faith faith 90 , Bishielurfer , Chibi Meryl and the random punctuator ZP501E.
Sometimes I do wish that somebody with some clout could grab Kibby by the scruff of the neck and bring us about our home again . After all it never seems to leave our minds.
=^-^=
Yes and the Mewing otter No 325 , how could I forget.
Bring us this day our daily roots.
