It seems that my computer is on another downward slide again just like the last one back before the 18th of October 2005 , that date being exactly a year to the day when I joined the Forum on the Cabbit Patch.

I arrived to home to find both my CD/Rom drivers gone and now my roms are as good as useless , what with Norton Goback not knowing what drive is my boot drive and not installed properly and a device causing a infrequant shutdown and reboot of my computer and a B B Code error message resulting.

Also alerts for Windows write failed , my computer continiously blowing a gale and slowing down each time as it does so , the only difference being this time I am not being bugged by Virus alerts.

Its like De Ja Vu all over again and I do as myself even though I can still visit and reply on Message boards , it all realy worth it any more.

Should I just pack my compi away and start thinking hard about Snail Mailing the people that want me to do so.

I dont know what to say realy , I realy am in a no win situation and not being able to play music DVD's or install anything from disk or search for drivers for my two CD/Roms of which I know I have'nt got anyway.

Realy depresses me.

That is most unfortunate to hear. you seem to have had some poor luck with computers. Keep at if you can. but don't get too stressed out about it.

Yes I have not been able to solve my CD/Rom problem and just logging into this site I had another Windows write fail message come up.

had a word with Father over the plot the other day , he sais I Should treat myself and get a new computer , what does he think I am ! , made of money.

I have to do a feasibility check before I think of getting a new compi , we shall see and until then my old Compaq presario 5000 will slog on , if it wants to blow a fuse or depart a hard drive so be it.

Nodisputing it this compi has been good over the six years I have had it , but its just those silly little things that have gone wrong on it , maybe the time has come .
